Work in progress:
We appreciate any input and suggestion to craft our goals for 2008 and define action to achieve that goal. Here are a few suggestions.
My main topics for 2008 are:
1) Help members understand the principal advantage of engagement in the SIIA as the leading industry association. Engaged members can grow marketshare and influence much faster than any of us alone. No matter whether it is a global enterprise or a local startup.
2) Drive an allinace and partnering initiative that helps all members to find better partners and alliances, faster.
I propose a structural change as following:
1) Every SIIA member who has an interest in Channels, Partner Networks or Alliances can join the join the group
2) We vote for a chaire who shall run the group
3) We will select 3 council members who actively engage in driving initiatives and organizing activities and are willing to committ a few hours per month
4) We will need some volontiers who can donate some work hours and help preparing initiatives
Help the SIIA Members to build a highly effective SaaS Channel, faster
1) Create a best practices collection on how to build a SaaS channel or how to become a successful SaaS channel partner 2) Drive initiatives that help our members to gain more market share through alliances 3) Make it interesting and fun to be part of the association. Let's meet for a beer once in a while
To be part of the committee requires donating time and actually work.
